Ubud Bali as The First-class Vacation Destinations – 8 Must See Tourist Area – Come From Saudi Arabia

Ubud as tourust destination

Ubud is, in lots of ways, the artistic hub of Bali. Home to one of Bali’s imperial families, this particular traditional country village has imperial palaces and historical sanctuaries. The city is also where a few of the world’s notable craftsmans and enthusiasts have explored and worked in. Along the main road are dozens of art studios and galleries, along with an impressive local crafts market offering antiques, woodcarvings, crafts, textiles, art work, and jewelry. A little ride outside Ubud will get you to Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the photogenic Tegallalang rice terrace. Join an excursion to local villages like Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan, and Batuan, where you can discover locals making and selling traditional Balinese crafts.

Ubud is one of those destinations where a holiday of a few days can easily convert into a stay of weeks, months and even years. The size of the town’s expat community attests to this, and so do the various novels and videos that have been set here, creative responses to the irresistible nature of this most cultured of all Balinese villages. This is a place where traditional Balinese culture imbues every waking time, where vibrant offerings dress up the streets and where the meditative strains of gamelan are an ever-present soundtrack to day-to-day life. It’s also someplace that is relentlessly on-trend– an exhibit of environmentally friendly design, mindfulness, culinary inspiration and the finest that global tourism has to offer. Come here for relaxation, for restoration and to have what may well be the most marvelous vacation of your life.

8 suggested travel activities you can try now

1. Kecak Dance event

Ubud is popular for its traditional dance shows. We didn’t have very high expectations but loved the Kecak dance we saw at the temple in Junjungan village.
About 60 sarong-clad men offer the soundtrack of haunting intonations, while dancers engage in a tale from the Ramayana. It is less busy and business than the performances in the centre– all 150 family members in the village are included and proceeds go towards temple activities.

2. Engage in Yoga exercise

Ubud is yogi heaven! No matter if you favor fast-paced vinyasa or gentle yin, you’ll get a class to fit you. It’s the best place to make your own yoga retreat by getting an affordable multi-class pass.

3. Downhill Bike Trek

We don’t cycle frequently, yet the Bali Eco Cycling tour was convenient– it was all downhill and we barely needed to pedal! We began with breakfast overlooking the volcano Mt Batur before cycling through the countryside stopping at a family compound, rice fields, and a 500-year-.

4. Monkey forest

The Monkey Forest is among the top Ubud tourist attractions, but we were actually a little concerned about facing the notable monkeys. It ended up a pleasant walk through the forest with temples and banyan trees that felt like an Indiana Jones set.

Look out of the monkeys, though– they are stealers and can be aggressive. We didn’t take a bag, sunglasses, or have anything in our wallets (except cash to get in and my camera around my neck), and they didn’t trouble us.

Don’t feed them — you will result in with monkeys climbing all over you. This may sound fun, but rabies prevails in Bali, and if you get bitten or scratched (a common occurrence), you’ll need a series of shots.

5. Pura Gunung Kawi

This 11th-century temple features shrines sculpted into the rock at the bottom of a river valley. It’s a 30-minute drive from Ubud and deserves merging with Tirta Empul. Get there early to avoid the groups and souvenir sellers– at 8 am there were only 2 other visitors.

6. Tirta EmpuWater Temple

The water temple Tirta Empul is near to Gunung Kawi. Balinese Hindus go here to bathe in the spiritual waters.

7. Tegenungan Waterfall

The waterfall isn’t massive, still, the scenery is beautiful, and we liked a swim in the pool. Once again, arrive early.

It’s a 25-minute trip from Ubud and can be combined with the Hidden Canyon. We didn’t make it down the canyon as it turned out to be more serious than we expected– come ready to clamber rocks and wade through waist-high water. It’s best to choose one of the Balinese guides to reveal you the way.

8. You must visit an Art Gallery.

Ubud is a very artsy village. You can head to tons of small shops to buy the artwork or bigger art museums to learn about the background of art in Ubud. I delighted in the Balinese art at Neka Art Museum the most, although the architecture at the Antonio Blanco Museum was definitely eccentric.
