Enjoy The Best Moment in Ubud – Check Out the 8 Amazing Spot – Suggested for People from Malta

Ubud as tourust destination

Ubud is, in most ways, the cultural heart of Bali. House to one of Bali’s imperial families, this one traditional country village has imperial palaces and historic holy places. The village is moreover where a few of the world’s outstanding craftsmens and hobbyists have gone to and worked in. Throughout the main street are hundreds of art studios and galleries, together with an outstanding local crafts market place selling antiques, woodcarvings, crafts, fabrics, paintings, and jewelry. A short trip outside Ubud will get you to Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the photogenic Tegallalang rice terrace. Join a day trip to local villages like Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan, and Batuan, where you can discover locals making and selling authentic Balinese crafts.

Ubud is one of those places where a holiday of a few days can simply turn into a stay of weeks, months and even years. The size of the town’s expat community attests to this, and so do the various novels and videos that have been established here, creative responses to the irresistible nature of this most cultured of all Balinese villages. This is a spot where traditional Balinese culture suffuses every waking moment, where colorful offerings dress up the streets and where the meditative strains of gamelan are an ever-present soundtrack to day-to-day life. It’s also someplace that is relentlessly on-trend– a showcase of environmentally friendly creation, mindfulness, culinary inspiration and the absolute best that global tourism has to offer. Come here for leisure, for restoration and to have what may well be the most mystical holiday of your life.

8 highly recommended outing activities you can go for now

1. Kecak Dance event

Ubud is famous for its traditional dance performances. We didn’t have very high assumptions but loved the Kecak dance we saw at the temple in Junjungan town.
Around 60 sarong-clad men offer the soundtrack of spooking chants, while dancers recreate a story from the Ramayana. It is less busy and business than the performances in the centre– all 150 families in the village are involved and proceeds go towards temple events.

2. Do Yoga and fitness

Ubud is yogi heaven! Whether you like hectic vinyasa or soft yin, you’ll discover a course to suit you. It’s the great place to create your own yoga retreat by buying an inexpensive multi-class pass.

3. Downhill Bike Tour

We don’t cycle regularly, however the Bali Eco Cycling activity was convenient– it was all downhill and we barely had to pedal! We started with breakfast overlooking the volcano Mt Batur before cycling through the country side stopping at a family compound, rice fields, and a 500-year-.

4. Monkey forest

The Monkey Forest is among the top Ubud interests, but we were actually a little nervous about braving the famous monkeys. It turned out to be a pleasant exercise the forest with temples and banyan trees that seemed like an Indiana Jones set.

Aware of the monkeys, though– they are stealers and may possibly be aggressive. We didn’t take a bag, sunglasses, or have anything in our pockets (except cash to get in and my camera around my neck), and they didn’t trouble us.

Don’t give them food — you will end up with monkeys climbing all over you. This may sound cool, but rabies is prevalent in Bali, and if you get bitten or damaged (a common situation), you’ll need a number of shots.

5. Pura Gunung Kawi

This 11th-century temple features shrines sculpted into the rock at the bottom of a river valley. It’s a 30-minute drive from Ubud and deserves merging with Tirta Empul. Get there early to avoid the groups and souvenir sellers– at 8 am there were only two other visitors.

6. Tirta EmpuWater Temple

The water temple Tirta Empul is close to Gunung Kawi. Balinese Hindus get here to bathe in the holy waters.

7. Tegenungan Waterfall

The waterfall isn’t big, but the landscapes is wonderful, and we had a swim in the pool. Again, arrive early.

It’s a 25-minute ride from Ubud and can be combined with the Hidden Canyon. We didn’t make it down the canyon as it became more hardcore than we anticipated– come equipped to clamber rocks and wade through waist-high water. It’s best to hire one of the Balinese guides to reveal you the way.

8. Go to Art Gallery.

Ubud is an extremely artsy town. You can go to tons of small shops to buy the artwork or bigger art museums to discover the history of art in Ubud. I took pleasure in the Balinese art at Neka Art Museum the most, although the architecture at the Antonio Blanco Museum was certainly strange.

Literally, there are numerous more things that you can explore when you are in Ubud Bali.
