Enjoy The Best Time in Ubud – Go To the 8 Outstanding Spot – Suggested for Traveler from South Korea

Ubud as tourust destination

Ubud is, in lots of ways, the ethnic center of Bali. Home to one of Bali’s royal families, this traditional country village has royal palaces and historical sanctuaries. The town is even where a couple of the world’s outstanding craftsmens and collectors have explored and worked in. Near the main road are hundreds of art studios and galleries, in addition to a fantastic local crafts market selling vintages, woodcarvings, crafts, textiles, paintings, and fine jewelry. A little run outside Ubud will take you to Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the photogenic Tegallalang rice terrace. Take part in a field trip to local villages like Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan, and Batuan, where you can view Balinesse making and selling authentic Balinese crafts.

Ubud is one of those destinations where a vacation of a few days can easily convert into a stay of weeks, months and even years. The scale of the town’s expat community vouches for this, and so do the many fictions and videos that have been set here, creative responses to the sexy nature of this most cultured of all Balinese towns. This is a spot where traditional Balinese culture imbues every waking moment, where vibrant offerings decorate the streets and where the hypnotic strains of gamelan are an ever-present soundtrack to regular life. It’s also someplace that is often on-trend– a display of ecological creation, mindfulness, culinary inspiration and the finest that global tourism has to offer. Come here for meditation, for revitalization and to have what may well be the most mystical holiday of your life.

8 suggested tour activities you can try out now

1. Kecak Dance performance

Ubud is renowned for its traditional dance performances. We didn’t have very strong assumptions but appreciated the Kecak dance we saw at the temple in Junjungan town.
About 60 sarong-clad men offer the soundtrack of haunting chants, while dancers engage in a tale from the Ramayana. It is less hectic and business than the performances in the centre– all 150 families in the village are included and continues go towards temple activities.

2. Practice Yoga and fitness

Ubud is yogi nirvana! No matter if you like hectic vinyasa or soft yin, you’ll discover a program to match you. It’s the great place to create your own yoga retreat by getting an affordable multi-class pass.

3. Downhill Bike Expedition

We don’t cycle regularly, yet the Bali Eco Cycling tour was effortless– it was all downhill and we hardly needed to pedal! We began with breakfast overlooking the volcano Mt Batur before cycling through the countryside halting at a family compound, rice fields, and a 500-year-.

4. Monkey forest

The Monkey Forest belongs to the top Ubud interests, but we were a little concerned about braving the famous monkeys. It became a delightful walk through the forest with temples and banyan trees that felt like an Indiana Jones set.

Aware of the monkeys, though– they are thieves and may possibly be bold. We didn’t take a bag, sunglasses, or have anything in our wallets (except cash to get in and my camera around my neck), and they didn’t bother us.

Don’t give them food — you will end up with monkeys climbing all over you. This may sound fun, but rabies prevails in Bali, and if you get bitten or scraped (a common situation), you’ll need a number of shots.

5. Pura Gunung Kawi

This 11th-century temple features shrines created into the rock at the bottom of a river valley. It’s a 30-minute drive from Ubud and deserves merging with Tirta Empul. Get there quickly to avoid the crowds and souvenir sellers– at 8 am there were just two other guests.

6. Tirta EmpuWater Temple

The water temple Tirta Empul is close to Gunung Kawi. Balinese Hindus go here to bathe in the divine waters.

7. Tegenungan Falls

The waterfall isn’t huge, but the surroundings is charming, and we had a swim in the pool. Again, arrive early.

It’s a 25-minute drive from Ubud and can be combined with the Hidden Canyon. We didn’t make it down the canyon as it became more serious than we anticipated– come equipped to clamber rocks and wade through waist-high water. It’s best to choose one of the local guides to show you the way.

8. Visit an Art Gallery.

Ubud is an incredibly artistic town. You can go to lots of small shops to get the artwork or larger art museums to learn more about the history of art in Ubud. I delighted in the Balinese art at Neka Art Museum the most, though the architecture at the Antonio Blanco Museum was definitely strange.
