Experience the 8 The wonder of Tourist Area in Ubud Bali – Report for tourists from South Korea

Ubud as tourust destination

Ubud is, in many ways, the ethnical center of Bali. Home to one of Bali’s imperial families, this particular traditional country town has royal palaces and ancient sanctuaries. The town is furthermore where a number of the world’s notable artisans and enthusiasts have explored and worked in. Also the main road are dozens of art studios and galleries, in conjunction with an outstanding local crafts market offering antiques, woodcarvings, crafts, cloths, paintings, and fine jewelry. A brief ride outside Ubud will take you to Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the photogenic Tegallalang rice terrace. Take part in a field trip to local villages like Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan, and Batuan, where you can see locals making and selling authentic Balinese crafts.

Ubud is one of those places where a vacation of a few days can quickly become a stay of weeks, months or maybe years. The size of the town’s expat community vouches for this, and so do the many novels and movies that have been established here, creative responses to the seductive nature of this most cultured of all Balinese villages. This is a place where traditional Balinese culture imbues every waking time, where colorful offerings enhance the streets and where the hypnotic strains of gamelan are an ever-present soundtrack to everyday life. It’s also somewhere that is often on-trend– an exhibit of sustainable concept, mindfulness, culinary inspiration and the absolute best that global tourism has to offer. Come here for leisure, for revitalization and to have what may well be the most mystical getaway of your life.

8 recommended trip activities you can go for now

1. Kecak Dance show

Ubud is well-known for its traditional dance performances. We didn’t have very strong hopes but loved the Kecak dance we saw at the temple in Junjungan town.
Approximately 60 sarong-clad men give the soundtrack of spooking songs, while dancers engage in a story from the Ramayana. It is less hectic and business than the performances in the centre– all 150 families in the village are included and continues go towards temple activities.

2. Do Yoga

Ubud is yogi paradise! Whether you choose hectic vinyasa or soft yin, you’ll find a training class to match you. It’s the best place to make your own yoga retreat by buying an inexpensive multi-class pass.

3. Downhill Bike Tour

We don’t cycle frequently, however the Bali Eco Cycling tour was easy– it was all downhill and we barely had to pedal! We began with breakfast overlooking the volcano Mt Batur before cycling through the country side stopping at a family compound, rice fields, and a 500-year-.

4. Monkey forest

The Monkey Forest is among the top Ubud attractions, but we were actually a little nervous about facing the famous monkeys. It ended up being an enjoyable walk through the forest with temples and banyan trees that thought that an Indiana Jones set.

Be careful of the monkeys, though– they are stealers and can be bold. We didn’t take a bag, sunglasses, or have something in our pockets (except cash to get in and my camera around my neck), and they didn’t bother us.

Don’t feed them — you will end up with monkeys climbing all over you. This may sound fun, but rabies prevails in Bali, and if you get bitten or damaged (a common occasion), you’ll need a number of treatments.

5. Pura Gunung Kawi

This 11th-century temple features shrines sculpted into the rock at the bottom of a river valley. It’s a 30-minute drive from Ubud and is worth merging with Tirta Empul. Get there early to avoid the crowds and souvenir sellers– at 8 am there were only two other guests.

6. Tirta EmpuWater Temple

The water temple Tirta Empul is near to Gunung Kawi. Balinese Hindus get here to bathe in the spiritual waters.

7. Tegenungan Waterfall

The waterfall isn’t massive, yet the surroundings is attractive, and we liked a swim in the pool. Once again, arrive early.

It’s a 25-minute ride from Ubud and can be combined with the Hidden Canyon. We didn’t make it down the canyon as it turned out to be more serious than we anticipated– come ready to clamber rocks and wade through waist-high water. It’s best to get one of the local guides to show you the way.

8. You must visit an Art Gallery.

Ubud is a really artistic town. You can visit tons of small shops to get the artwork or bigger art museums to learn more about the history of art in Ubud. I took pleasure in the Balinese art at Neka Art Museum the most, although the architecture at the Antonio Blanco Museum was definitely eccentric.
