Ubud Bali being The Best Destinations – 8 Must Visit Traveler Area – Come From Finland

Ubud as tourust destination

Ubud is, in most ways, the ethnical center of Bali. House to one of Bali’s royal families, this traditional country place has imperial palaces and ancient holy places. The village is furthermore where some of the world’s notable craftsmens and enthusiasts have explored and worked in. Also the main road are hundreds of art studios and galleries, in addition to an impressive local crafts market place selling vintages, woodcarvings, crafts, textiles, paintings, and jewelry. A quick run outside Ubud will get you to Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the photogenic Tegallalang rice terrace. Participate in an excursion to local villages like Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan, and Batuan, where you can discover locals making and selling genuine Balinese crafts.

Ubud is one of those places where a vacation of a few days can quickly convert into a stay of weeks, months or even years. The scale of the town’s expat community attests to this, and so do the various fictions and movies that have been established here, creative responses to the tempting nature of this most cultured of all Balinese towns. This is a place where traditional Balinese culture suffuses every waking time, where colorful offerings adorn the streets and where the charismatic strains of gamelan are an ever-present soundtrack to regular life. It’s also someplace that is often on-trend– a showcase of ecological concept, mindfulness, culinary inventiveness and the very best that global tourism has to offer. Come here for relaxation, for rejuvenation and to have what may well be the most remarkable holiday of your life.

8 suggested trip activities you can try out today

1. Kecak Dance show

Ubud is renowned for its traditional dance performances. We didn’t have very high assumptions but appreciated the Kecak dance we saw at the temple in Junjungan town.
About 60 sarong-clad men give the soundtrack of spooking chants, while dancers engage in a tale from the Ramayana. It is less hectic and business than the performances in the centre– all 150 families in the village are involved and proceeds go towards temple events.

2. Practice Yoga

Ubud is yogi heaven! Whether you like fast-paced vinyasa or gentle yin, you’ll get a training class to suit you. It’s the great place to create your own yoga retreat by buying an affordable multi-class pass.

3. Downhill Bike Tour

We don’t cycle often, still, the Bali Eco Cycling tour was convenient– it was all downhill and we barely needed to pedal! We started with breakfast overlooking the volcano Mt Batur before cycling through the countryside halting at a family compound, rice fields, and a 500-year-.

4. Monkey forest

The Monkey Forest belongs to the top Ubud attractions, but we were actually a little worried about braving the notable monkeys. It ended up a satisfying walk through the forest with temples and banyan trees that thought that an Indiana Jones set.

Be careful of the monkeys, though– they are stealers and can be aggressive. We didn’t take a bag, sunglasses, or have anything in our pockets (except cash to enter and my camera around my neck), and they didn’t bother us.

Don’t give them food — you will turn out with monkeys climbing all over you. This may sound cool, but rabies is prevalent in Bali, and if you get bitten or scraped (a common occasion), you’ll need a series of treatments.

5. Pura Gunung Kawi

This 11th-century temple features shrines engraved into the rock at the bottom of a river valley. It’s a 30-minute drive from Ubud and is worth merging with Tirta Empul. Get there early to avoid the groups and souvenir sellers– at 8 am there were just 2 other visitors.

6. Tirta EmpuWater Temple

The water temple Tirta Empul is close to Gunung Kawi. Balinese Hindus go here to bathe in the spiritual waters.

7. Tegenungan Waterfall

The waterfall isn’t big, but the surroundings is charming, and we had a swim in the pool. Again, get there early.

It’s a 25-minute drive from Ubud and can be combined with the Hidden Canyon. We didn’t make it down the canyon as it turned out to be more hardcore than we anticipated– come ready to climb rocks and wade through waist-high water. It’s best to find one of the Balinese guides to present you the way.

8. Pay visit to Art Gallery.

Ubud is a very artsy town. You can see tons of small studios to get the artwork or larger art museums to learn about the history of art in Ubud. I took pleasure in the Balinese art at Neka Art Museum the most, although the architecture at the Antonio Blanco Museum was certainly unusual.

In fact, there are numerous more things that you can explore when you are in Ubud Bali.
